1. The Krakow Tumulus
Around Krakow, there are several small hills. Some are easy to get to, like Krakus, the most popular with tourists and locals alike. For a more challenging walk, head for Piłsudski.
This is the city’s highest hill. If the weather’s right, the view from the top will give you a nice aerial sensation. This hill lies in the heart of Las Wolski (a quiet forest). A little haven of peace, off the beaten track.
2. Visit a farmer’s market
In the heart of Krakow, you’ll find numerous small farmers’ markets. The best-known and most popular? Probably the Stary Kleparz/Nowy Kleparz. These are two separate but very close markets in the heart of the city center.
It takes about 5 minutes to reach them from the central square. Olives, fresh vegetables, eggs, cheese, poultry… You’ll find everything you need for a delicious dinner.
3. Zakrzówek
Hop on a streetcar in the direction of Dębniki. You’ll find a turquoise lake on site. Be careful, however, not to jump into the water or do anything else on site. The site is protected by a fence, which is there for a reason.
Some people have had fun and disregarded the rules. Several deaths have been recorded as a result. We therefore recommend that you enjoy the view and the area for a quiet stroll.
4. Go to a cat café
There are two cat cafés in Krakow. Both are called Kocia Kawiarnia Kociarnia. One is right next to the city center. The second is a little further north.

In 2013, the markets at Tatrzańska, in Podgórze, were painted, so as to give them a bit of life, a bit of pep. Today, they’re loved by the locals for embellishing the neighborhood.
This is your chance to pose for some great souvenir shots, which you can then post on your social networks. The steps are close to a pretty park and an equally charming church. The perfect opportunity to enjoy a beautiful moment.

Tytano is a complex of buildings once used as a tobacco factory. It has now been redeveloped to create a dozen or so cafés, restaurants and pubs. One of Krakow’s most off-the-beaten-track establishments.
In fact, it’s the only place of its kind in the heart of the city. We really appreciate the hipster atmosphere, very relaxed and casual. An unusual place, always lively.
7. Jagiellonian University Botanical Garden
On your way to Jagiellonian University, you’ll be able to enjoy and discover the botanical garden! 9. Skałki Twardowskiego

10. Nowa Huta
Nowa Huta is a place whose reputation is rather… Negative. Most people think of the stories about how easy it is to get mugged by hooligans, for no real reason. However, this reputation is unfounded.
Don’t be afraid to explore this beautiful district, built by the Soviets. At the time, it was seen as the very symbol of the Soviet utopian city.
