Located in a former working-class district of Prague, the Cross club is in the north of Holešovice in Prague 7. Its address is in Plynární 1096/23 near Argentinská Avenue. It is a district in the process of renovation and is well frequented.
That’s why there are a lot of expatriates who know all the good addresses in the area, including this one. Although one might think that the place is quite out of the way, it is very easy to get to.
How to get to the Cross club?
Prague is one of the best connected capitals in the world, with good public transportation that is easily accessible for everyone. A few meters from the Cross club is a metro stop called Nádraží Holešovice on the C line of the Prague metro.
If you are coming from the center of Prague, you will have to take the metro at the Muzeum stop in the direction of Letňany, and get off 4 stops later. 10 minutes is the time it takes to get there from the center.
The streetcar is also a very good solution with no less than 5 different lines (2, 5, 6, 12, 17) dropping you off at Nádraží Holešovice. Once you arrive, walk 2 minutes in the direction of the metal-looking building. You have arrived and are ready to discover this unusual place!
What to do at the Cross club?
When you arrive in front of the Cross Club, you will quickly realize that the place is big and busy. You can spend the whole evening there because on the spot you will have the possibility of eating, drinking, and dancing.
1. The restaurant
If you want to taste good traditional dishes, you have to go up to the top floor of the building. There are many tables where waiters and waitresses with impeccable English are waiting for you. In a relaxed atmosphere, you will discover the menu where all the typical dishes are also presented in English.
We recommend the homemade cheeseburger made with beef, bacon, lettuce, tomatoes, onions and cheddar cheese. The dishes are home-made and varied, so don’t hesitate to ask the waitress for advice, she will be able to guide you in your choice. One thing is certain, at the Cross club in Prague, we eat rather well!
2. The bar
Located next to the restaurant, the bar overlooks the street and is large enough to accommodate groups of 10 people. Knowing that during the summer period, the Cross club has an outdoor stage with electronic music concerts.
The best thing to do is to take your beer and head to the terrace to enjoy the festive atmosphere. It’s the best way to start making nice acquaintances with the locals and many expats in the area.
3. The club
Once you’ve digested your typical Czech dish and you’ve acquired the local beers, don’t hesitate to go to the popular club located in the basement right next to the terrace. Because yes, the Cross Club in Prague is also a nightclub.
You’ll have to pay to get in, but it never exceeds 150 crowns (6€) and you’ll see that it’s worth a try!
